Women's Rights Movement and Jazz

Our blog is about the way that jazz has impacted the lives of women around the 1920’s. When the jazz craze first began, it was thought to be “dirty” or “sexual,” but to women, it was empowering and life-changing. Women changed the way they dressed, acted, danced, and worked. Jazz started a huge step towards women’s rights. Women started to stand up for the things that they wanted and deserved. Jazz changed the way society viewed women and got the ball rolling towards social equality.
